Watch the Austin, Texas Brewskee-Ball Championship for Skeeson 25 here that I shot. The competition was intense to say the least with the winning team taking it by one point!

Full Circle Bar • Part 1
I was at the Full Circle Bar in Austin last night for Austin Photo Night. Here are a few images I shot while I was there. I got to meet some awesome rollers and got some pointers from Brewbacca! You can see my high score (possibly of all time) in the photos! I’ll be back tonight, so if you are there stop by and say hello!
Seeking Redemption – Chapter 12 Excerpt
Each week we present an excerpt from the book, “Seeking Redemption: The Real Story of the Beautiful Game of Skee-Ball.” This weeks excerpt is from Chapter 12, “Stealth Transition – Weathering The Great Depression.”

The transition of the Skee-Ball business into the hands of seasoned amusement industry professionals was almost certainly a key survival factor for Skee-Ball. One of the reasons Skee-Ball was able to weather the storm was the deep pockets and professional resources of its new management. Holding massive Skee-Ball tournaments in 1932, with huge cash prizes, generated even more excitement. It also made the game even more attractive to strapped contestants, who were motivated to practice their skills in order to have a shot at big money, as well as smaller prizes.

Seeking Redemption – A Tale (Tail?) of Two Formats
Just like my co-author and I have two cats, did you know that our book, “Seeking Redemption: The Real Story of the Beautiful Game of Skee-Ball” is available in two formats? It is.

Miss Mao Mao Meow’s preferred edition is the hardback.

Miss Dorian Gray Cat reads Seeking Redemption: The Real Story of the Beautiful Game of Skee-Ball on her iPad.
For those of you who prefer to read a book in hardcopy (like Mao Mao), there is the hardback edition.

For those who prefer to read the book electronically on their iPad (like Dorian), other iOS device or their Mac laptop, there is an electronic, interactive version of the book available at the iBooks Store specifically made for iBooks. This version contains standalone images and image galleries that readers can flip through both at page size and at fullscreen size. You can even zoom into some of the images to see the extraordinary detail contained in them!
